    Providing specialised services and expertise, they ensure that collectors are supported with all aspects of owning a collection and that works of art and other precious objects are preserved, managed, and displayed to the highest standards.

    With training in conservation, museum studies, art history and curation, their focus is advising collectors with the management and care of their collections, as well as with their philanthropy and patronage.

    They founded The Residency to fulfil their mission of promoting collecting with purpose and encouraging meaningful connections with artists and those that admire and collect their work.

  • HOST PARTNER 2022-25

    Creativity and collaboration underscore life at Villa Lena. Situated in the heart of rural Tuscany, in the province of Pisa, Villa Lena was founded in 2014 by collector and patron Lena Evstafieva and combines luxury accommodation, a farm-to-table restaurant and a not-for-profit art foundation.

    A specific focus of Lena and the Villa Lena Foundation is on supporting women artists and artists with families—those who often face greater barriers to success—by providing long residencies and a nurturing environment and outstanding workshop facilities. The Foundation forges connections between contemporary artists and Tuscany’s rich cultural heritage by collaborating with local artisans. Villa Lena Foundation has hosted over 500 artists, chefs, writers, yogis, and creatives in residence. Villa Lena spans 500 hectares of historical land, combining sustainable hospitality with a vibrant artistic program. The estate includes a boutique hotel, an organic vegetable garden, and holds a prestigious Green Certificate, reflecting its commitment to environmental responsibility.  At Villa Lena estate, the  fusion of hospitality and creative culture has made Villa Lena a destination for curious and adventurous guests seeking new experiences, meaningful interactions with art, and an authentic connection to nature and creativity.

  • MUSEUM PARTNER

    FAMM (Female Artists of the Mougins Museum) is the first private museum dedicated exclusively to female artists, which opened on 21st June 2024 in the historic village of Mougins, in the South of France. Since its debut, FAMM has rapidly gained recognition as an essential destination for both art enthusiasts and professionals. The museum showcases an extraordinary collection of approximately 100 works, spanning from Impressionism to contemporary art, all focused on elevating the contributions of female artists to art history.

    Founded by collector Christian Levett, FAMM exclusively displays pieces from the Levett Collection, which comprises over 600 works by female artists. The museum showcases a curated selection of approximately 100 of these works, featuring renowned artists such as Frida Kahlo, Dora Maar, Niki de Saint Phalle, Lee Krasner, and Louise Bourgeois. By focusing on often-underrepresented female artists, FAMM offers a fresh perspective on modern art history and highlights their significant contributions to the art world.

    Additionally, FAMM is designed to be accessible for all visitors, whether experts or casual admirers. Through the Bloomberg Connects app, visitors can enjoy audioguides with commentary from the artists themselves or art historian Katy Hessel, enriching the experience for everyone.

    Lund Humphries is a long-established, independent publisher of beautifully produced books on Art, Architecture and Design. The Lund Humphries publishing list encompasses books for Visual Arts scholars, professionals, students and art enthusiasts across a wide range of specialisms.

    With an illustrious publishing heritage dating back to 1939, Lund Humphries is particularly known historically for its highly illustrated monographs and reference books on modern and contemporary artists. From these roots, the publishing programme has expanded to cover all periods of Art History, as well as Architecture and Design. Lund Humphries’ pioneering list of books for art professionals has a distinctive focus on the art market; in particular, its highly regarded series of short books Hot Topics in the Art World, published in association with Sotheby’s Institute of Art, debates key issues of current relevance to art-world professionals internationally working in both the private and public sectors.

    Through our partnership, Lund Humphries offers our artists books from their ‘Hot Topics in the Art World’ series, which provide helpful insight into different contemporary topics.

    The Residency was thrilled to be partnered with award-winning hair wellness brand MONPURE for 2023 and 2024.

    As a firm believer in the profound impact of creativity and its ability to instil confidence, MONPURE was proud to join as The Residency's Principal Partner. Contributing both financial and strategic support at a pivotal point in The Residency's development, CURA Art and MONPURE explored ways to grow, reach and support an even larger community of artists.

    A part of MONPURE’s commitment and support allowed us to provide a stipend to each artist, so that they could focus their time during their residency without financial worry.
