Funded artist residency project powered by patrons
The Residency, from CURA Art, is a platform focused on supporting and sponsoring underrepresented artists, centered around time away from their usual routines at various inspiring spaces. The Residency uses a unique approach, creating a supportive ecosystem through mentorship and community, while connecting artists with influential patrons as a catalyst for change.

“The experience I’ve had with The Residency has been the most encouraging and validating period I’ve had in my career as an artist. The Residency gave me the confidence to fully immerse myself in the work and process and feeling incredibly supported throughout. Georgia and Liza were the residents’ advocates and took care of the artists in every way possible, which enabled us to create without having to worry about anything else. Their supportiveness has since meant I’ve set a new bar for my future relationships with galleries and art professionals, and they have already opened up so many new doors to those relationships.”
